Prep School
One of Hidden Oaks Horse Training specialties are young horses. With that in mind we have designed a few programs to help get young horses ready for the show ring, the next level of training or even an event specialty trainer.
These programs are designed for young horses from 1-5 years old.
I emphasize low stress, kind, and clear handling.
Pre-School
Providing the foundation for getting started under saddle.
Leading
Tying
Bathing/Grooming/Clipping
Farrier
Round pen work
Lunge (with tack, depending on age and size)
Saddling/Tacking up
Ponied or hand walked on trails and over natural obstacles
Plus more of the basics all horses should know
Kinder-Garten
3 yrs and up. plus possible Select 2 yr olds
All of the Above plus
Ground Driving
Started under saddle
Walk, Trot, and Canter in the ring (depending on horses legs)
